Training your Employees

 In Blog

Increasingly small and medium sized construction firms are needing on-site assessors, typically a role predominantly found with larger organisations.

Having your own on-site assessors means that your assessors can assess your construction workers, often employees who have the skills, experience and training but no formal qualifications.

Your assessors can confirm the workers’ skills and test their ability in the workplace. If successful, the employee being assessed can be awarded a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ).

This gives you the peace of mind that your team are competent and it also demonstrates to your clients that you have a competent team.

The CITB recently announced funding to help 100s of employees become qualified on-site assessors and you might be able to tap into that funding.

And with the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), most employees will need a SVQ or NVQ Level 2.

If you want help to train your employees so that they can help you with assessment, get in touch.  We can provide the training online or alternatively on-site using a number of different delivery methods.

With over 20 years of taking candidates through their SQA assessor qualifications, we know what it takes to make sure they complete the training and finish the qualification
