Introduction to the Train the Trainer qualification
The Train the Trainer Programme of Learning endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) is a hands-on, challenging and enjoyable thirty hour programme of development.
This training course focuses on the development of practical training skills.
During three days of intensive training, trainers get plenty of opportunity to practice skills required for their training role.
Who is this qualification suitable for?
The Train the Trainer course is aimed at employees who are new to training or experienced trainers who want to refresh or update their skills and knowledge. This is also suitable for training specialists or supervisors who need to train as part of their job role.
Focusing on the training
The main skills required by a trainer are being able to communicate effectively, achieve a high level of interaction, provide opportunities for their learners to practice and provide feedback.
The trainers will receive structured feedback from Polaris Learning as they master being able to deliver training through different approaches.

Qualification support
All of the learning and the majority of assessments are completed during the training workshop.
Trainers are issued with a short knowledge assignment at the end of the workshop to complete the qualification requirements.
Polaris Learning would then result and issue certification from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).

THREE DAY MODEL
This three day course focuses on the development of practical training skills. During three days of intensive training, delegates get plenty of opportunity to practice the skills required for their training role. The main skills are being able to communicate effectively, achieve a high level of interaction, provide opportunities for their learners to practice and provide feedback.

This is a hands-on challenging and enjoyable thirty hour programme of development leading to the Institute of Leadership and Management endorsed Train the Trainer award.
REMOTE LEARNING
This course is aimed at employees who are new to training, or experienced trainers who want to refresh or update their skills and knowledge. This course is also suiatble for training specialists or supervisors who need to deliver training as part of their job role. We focus on the development of practical training skills.
The modules within the course are:
- Module 1: Introduction to Training and Coaching
- Module 2: Identifying and Planning Learning
- Module 3: Delivering and Reviewing Learning
This programme is delivered using a remote learning approach and involves online learning and remote support from a Polaris Learning Consultant. This is a hands-on challenging and enjoyable programme of development endorsed by the ILM.
BLENDED LEARNING
We can also offer this programme through a blended learning approach. This involves online learning and pre-course work, followed by two days of intensive training in a workshop.
