Assessor Training with Knowledge Assignment
INTRODUCTION TO THIS OPTION
This training option is suitable for people who assess the competence of individuals within a competency based assessment system.
A qualification is not always suitable or required and it of course involves more time and therefore more cost. The training with knowledge assessment option allows your assessors to receive the relevant training to work as assessors but, instead of a full qualification, they complete a short knowledge assignment to allow Polaris Learning to verify their understanding of the main principles of the role.
For your assessors to succeed we believe they must be trained on your company’s assessment process. We can build your assessment paperwork and assessment process into the training so that the assessors leave with a better understanding of their role.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT DELIVERY METHOD FOR YOUR LEARNERS
TRAINING WORKSHOP
During the workshops, we explore best practice within this setting so that your assessors are clear about what is expected of them when they return to their workplace.
Focusing on this approach, this training would generally be carried out in a one day workshop.
In this workshop we cover:
- Introduction to Competence
- Organising and Preparing
- Carry Out Assessments
- Discussion and Questioning
- Judging and Recording Evidence
- Providing Feedback
- Quality Assurance
Once your assessors complete the training workshops, they are then required to complete a knowledge assignment which we will review and provide feedback on. Your assessors are supported throughout by a Polaris Learning consultant.
On completion of this, a Polaris Learning certificate is awarded.
ONLINE LEARNING
This involves the provision of an online training process which includes the completion of a formal knowledge-based assignment which is reviewed by a Polaris Learning Consultant. This would typically take one day to complete.
The online modules are:
- Module 1: Introduction to Competence
- Module 2: Organising and Preparing
- Module 3: Carry Out Assessments
- Module 4: Discussion and Questioning
- Module 5: Judging and Recording Evidence
- Module 6: Feedback
- Module 7: Quality Assurance
On completion of this, a Polaris Learning certificate is awarded.
We allocate each assessor with a Polaris Learning consultant who works closely with the learner. We build in a series of live webinars or on demand webinars to support the learning process. Client reporting is built in as standard so you can keep track of progress.
The duration of the programme can be organised to suit your requirements and we can facilitate the completion of this over a short or longer period of time.
BLENDED LEARNING
We can also offer a combination of face to face, online and webinar support and this can be tailored to meet your requirements.
